William L. Mosher Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

William Leland Mosher, 82, resident of Pineview Commons and former resident of Northville, passed away on Friday, July 1, 2022, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Amsterdam following a brief illness. William “Bill” was born on September 2, 1939, in Port Washington, New York, son of the late Leland and Margaret (Sullivan) Mosher. Bill spent most of his youth in Schenectady and New York City. He was a graduate of the former La Salle Military Academy in Oakdale, NY and earned his B.A. degree from Providence College in 1961. After relocating to Clearwater, Florida, Bill met his wife, Barbara (Amos), whom he married in 1968. They were together for over 50 years until Barbara’s passing in 2019. While in Clearwater, Bill spent many years working in the advertising and title insurance businesses. In 1988, Bill and his family relocated to Northville, coming back to the place where he enjoyed childhood summers. He worked at the former Noteworthy Company in Amsterdam and was then employed for many years at St. Mary’s Hospital until his retirement. Bill would brighten everyone’s day with his amazing sense of humor, quick wit, and creativity. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather (aka PopPop), brother, uncle, and friend to all. His greatest joys in life were his family, friends, and being of help and support to others. Bill enjoyed painting with watercolors, displaying his beautiful works of art for many years in local art shows and businesses. He was especially fond of painting nature scenes featuring the Adirondacks and surrounding areas. Bill is survived by his daughter, Kimberly Park, her husband Christopher, and grandchildren, Coulson and Christiane Park of Broadalbin. He was predeceased by his wife, Barbara, and sister, Margaret (Peg) Melanson. Family and friends are invited to visitation at Northville Funeral Home on Thursday July 14, 2022 from 4-6pm. A Mass celebrating Bill’s life will be held on Friday July 15, 2022 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Northville at 11 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or the James A.
