Walter C. Mosher

February 29, 1944 - January 25, 2019

Walter C. Mosher, 74 of Edinburg passed away peacefully on Friday January 25, 2019 at the Fulton Center in Gloversville. He was born on February 29, 1944 in Glens Falls, NY. The son of the late Louis and Fannie Galusha Mosher. Walter attended Johnsburg Central School in North Creek, NY. Walter was self-employed (Ghesta Joy Farm) and dedicated his life to horses. He raised and bred Haflingers. He judged and competed in horse shows and pony pulls. He always enjoyed lending a hand. He loved going to the fairs and made many friends along the way. He loved spending time with his great grandchildren and watching western movies. He was skilled in many areas including carpentry and blacksmithing. Walter was predeceased by his wife; Betty Mosher and brothers; Henry and Louis Mosher. Survivors include his step-son; Kim (Joanne) Ponzi, grandchildren; Christopher, Christina and Dustin (Tara) Ponzi. Great grandchildren; Paraskevi and Niko Sevastakis and Gavin Ponzi. Brothers; Roger Mosher, Edward (Jen) Mosher, Levi Mosher and sisters; Wilma (Jean) LaFond Viola (Craig) Watson, Eva Conway, Darlene (Johnny) Coulter and many nieces, nephews and cousins. There will be no calling hours or funeral service per Walter's wishes. Memorial contributions may be made to charity of one's choice. Arrangements are under the direction and care of the Northville Funeral Home. Condolences may be made to the family online at www.northvillefuneralservice.com.
