Robert R. Morgan
August 5, 1957 - January 3, 2017
Robert R. Morgan, age 59, a resident of Edinburg, died Tuesday January 3, 2017 at the Saratoga Hospital in Saratoga Springs. He was born on August 5, 1957 to Jane and Jerome Morgan in Nyack, NY. His family moved to Edinburg in 1972 and he graduated from Northville Central School in 1976. On July 10, 1976 he married his high school sweetheart Victoria Ashcroft which together celebrated 40 years of love. Robert also enlisted in the United States Army and served from 1976 to 1983 during the Cold War with an Honorable Discharge at the rank of Staff Sgt. He was predeceased by his parents Jane and Jerome Morgan and sister Jane Vosburgh. He is survived by his wife Victoria Morgan and three children, son; Robert R. Morgan Jr., wife Alicia with grandchildren, Levi, Ryann and Easton, daughter; Kristina E. Morgan husband Derek Ricciardi, son; Joshua T. Morgan wife Kathryn with grandchildren, Oliver and Jane. Two sisters; Gayle Stiffey and Barbara Morgan. Niece; Heather Simpson husband Wayne, and brother – in – law; Edward Ashcroft. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Through struggles, he always enjoyed life saying “I wonder what the rich folk are doing?”. He loved being outdoors and up at camp where he could be at peace and speak with God. He faithfully listened to talk radio, worked hard and always loved his family and his sweetheart Vicki. He was a member of the American Legion Post #1076 and strong supporter of Boy Scout Troop #55 where “we turn boys into great men”. The truest form of a husband, father and “man”. Finest patriot you’ve ever met. He will be missed by family and friends. He has now been brought to God and is truly at peace. “Watch your top Knot”.
