Marsha L. Smith Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Marsha Tuccio Smith, age 66, a resident of South Second Street, Northville, New York and Vero Beach, Florida died on August 3, 2022, at St. Mary’s Hospital after battling a short illness. She was born on May 10, 1956, in Gloversville, NY. The daughter of the late Joseph J. and Elizabeth Emore Tuccio, Marsha was a graduate of Northville Central School. As a teenager, she waitressed at The Sugar Bowl, a family-owned restaurant. Marsha was an incredibly hard worker. If you didn’t see her smiling and laughing at the Grand Union, you might find her waiting tables at The Alhambra or The Flamingo. She truly enjoyed her morning cup of coffee at the Kitchenette, keeping everyone entertained. Marsha was a staple in the Northville community and the fiercest supporter of her children and grandchildren. Over decades, everyone heard her loud cheers as she attended countless soccer games, concerts, and musicals. Marsha nurtured those around her, therefore it is no surprise one of her most recent, and favorite, hobbies was tending to and decorating her garden. Marsha grew to love traveling alongside her favorite companion, her husband Bill Smith. Together they cruised all over the world, traveling to Alaska, the Caribbean, and Europe. Bill also taught her golf. God bless him. Marsha won the Women’s Individual Nine-Hole Association Championships at Grand Harbor Golf and Beach Club in 2011 and 2012. Coincidently, Bill won in the men’s league those same years. She is survived by her husband Bill Smith, son Michael (Deborah) Feldman, daughter Marnie (Michael) Feldman-Kohl, son Matthew (Karin Meuwissen) Feldman, two grandchildren: Jackson Feldman and Avery Feldman, three stepchildren: Val Smith, William Smith, and Terri (Scott) Briggs and six step-grandchildren: Nicholas Smith, Christopher Smith, Caleb Smith, Zoey Smith, Liam Briggs, and Finley Briggs. She is also survived by her sister Sandra (Dennis) Poulin, brother Jace Tuccio, sister Janet (Daryl) Roosa; all of Northville, and sister Gladys Anne Tuccio of Amsterdam. She is predeceased by her brother John Henry Tuccio, parents, and grandmother and grandfather; Clinton and Gladys Tuccio. She adored all sides of her family including her many nieces and nephews. Viewing hours will be on Tuesday August 9, 2022, from 10:00AM to 12:00PM at the Northville Funeral Home with a service to follow at 12 Noon. There will be a short burial for family and friends immediately following at Prospect Hill Cemetery, Northville. COVID protocols will be in place, masks will be required to enter the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements are under the direction and care of the Northville Funeral Home.
