May 21, 1953 - March 17, 2017
Linda McGovern passed peacefully to our Lord on March 16th. Devoted Wife and Mother, Linda was a longtime Owner/Operator of The Inn at Speculator...hosting and serving guests and visitors for over 38 years while making a wonderful home for her family. A Published Author , Linda enjoyed reading, quilting and travel....and gave freely of her time as a Board member of Prospect School in Glens Falls, Hamilton County Cooperative Extension, and the Committee for Special Education. She was proud to be among the Founding members of the Hamilton County TWIGS....and admired the tremendous work they do. Her Passion for travel often involved God's beautiful Ocean. From our Home Jones Beach...to the Caribbean or our great memories of Topsail Island....the Seashore had a great impact on Linda. The love of all things French brought us from Montreal to Europe to St. Maarten.....as long as it had that lovely language being spoken. She even went back to College at FMCC to learn to speak the language of love.....with a Long Island accent! She is predeceased by Mother Ruby and Father Charlie Price, and her beloved Sister Barbara (Rob). Survived by her Husband Neil, and Sons Eric (Courtney), Kyle (Angela) and Kevin as well as Sister in Law Maureen and Brother in Law Tom (Anne) and several Nieces and Nephews. A Memorial Mass will be had on April 8th, 2pm at St. James Catholic Church in Lake Pleasant followed by a Celebration of Linda's life at The Inn. In lieu of flowers please consider donations to Speculator Volunteer Ambulance or Mt Valley Hospice. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Northville Funeral Home. Condolences may be made to the family online at www.northvillefuneralservice.com.
