Lewis Seymour Colvin

Lewis Seymour Colvin, 68, of Partridge Road, Edinburg, died Saturday, November 12, 2005 from complications due to a car accident. He was born on March 1, 1937 in Edinburg, NY, the son of William and Pearl Tennant Colvin. Lewis was a graduate of Hadley-Luzerne High School and was employed by L & M Building until his retirement. He was a lifelong resident of Edinburg and an avid hunter and fisherman. Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Nina Mae Wadsworth; two sons, Joe (Norine) Colvin of Northville and Mark (Laurie Colvin of Edinburg; two daughters, Connie (Scott) Chambers of Amsterdam and Rebecca Gonyea of Gloversville; five brothers, William (Kelly) Colvin and George (Rhonda) Colvin of Sarasota, FL, Milford Skip (Karen) Colvin of Albany, James (Mary Ellen) of Edinburg and Allan Colvin of Washington; eight sisters, Joyce (Victor) Kelly of Phoenix, Arizona, June (Ken) Scott, Ellen (Paul) LaPort, Faye (Bruce) Frasier, Betty (Wayne) LaPort, all of Edinburg, Christine Colvin and Della (John) Poultney of Florida and Mary (George) Harrington of Hope; eleven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his parents, William and Pearl Colvin; brother, Carl Colvin; son, Robin Neil Colvin; and grandson, Tyler Steven Colvin. Friends may call on Thursday, November 17, 2005 from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday November 18, 2005 from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Northville Funeral Home, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday.
