Mr. Leonard Vallieu

October 30, 1933 - December 1, 2020

Leonard Vallieu, age 87, passed away peacefully in his sleep on December 1, 2020 at the Wells Nursing Home in Johnstown, N.Y. He was born on October 30, 1933 to Elvira Ostrander (Vallieu) and Lester Vallieu in the town of Gloversville, New York. He worked for the Town of Northampton, Lee Dye and Ashline Trucking where he was employed as a tractor trailer driver. He was a self-logger for the past several years. He is survived by his children Marie Vanassche, Lester Vallieu and Elvira Brumagham. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Catherine (Whitman) (whom he married on November, 17, 1951), his parents, his sisters (Lois, Virginia, and Audrey) and his brothers (Gary, Lee, Sherrill, Carl and Roy). At Leonard’s request, there will be no viewing or funeral service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Leonard’s name to the Cranberry Creek Community Church at 112 Gilbert Road Mayfield, NY 12117.
