L. Kenneth Wock, 63, of Rexford and Northville, NY, died unexpectedly on Thursday July 14, 2005.Born in Johnstown, NY on July 11, 1942, Mr. Wock was the son of Delmar J. and Margaret Quigley Wock, both deceased. He was also predeceased by his uncle, William C. Wock. Mr. Wock is survived by his wife, Carol, two brothers, William K. Wock of Johnstown and Patrick Wock of Broadalbin, NY, and by two nephews.Mr. Wock attended public schools in Johnstown, NY, where he graduated with the class of 1960. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. After discharge from the Navy, he attended Fulton-Montgomery Community College, then finished his bachelorãs degree and earned his M.S. at Eastern Illinois University in Charleston, Illinois.After teaching in Illinois for five years, Mr. Wock returned to NY State, teaching briefly in Whitesboro, and then in North Colonie Central Schools for most of his teaching career. A well-loved teacher, Mr. Wock retired in 2000 from NCCS, where he was head librarian of the Shaker Junior High School.There will be no funeral service. Mr. Wockãs cremains will be scattered near his beloved second home in the Adirondacks.The family requests that no flowers be sent. Instead donations may be made to the American Heart Society, or the Nature Conservancy of Northeastern New York. Arrangements are by the Northville Funeral Home.
