Keith H. Orr

November 11, 1967 - August 15, 2021

On August 15, 2021 Keith Howard Orr passed from this life surrounded by his close family at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, New York. Keith was born to loving parents the late George H Orr and Anne (Morrison) on November 11, 1967 in Schenectady New York. He was the elder brother to sister and personal television channel changer Catherine Eldredge. Keiths bossiness started early in life as he would often call Catherine out of her bedroom to “do me a favor“ only to ask her to “change the channel“ when she entered the room. That tendency became a necessary trait as he ran his own businesses later in life. Keith was a man with many irons in the fire and simultaneously many balls in the air and that’s just the way he liked it. He lived his life to the fullest always doing what made him and the people around him happiest. For example riding his Harley with great friends, fishing with his boys, mowing the lawns in Wells, working his businesses, watching movies and his beloved Big Bang Theory on television. Keith was generous to a fault always making sure his friends and loved ones had the best time possible. Keith was the proud owner operator of Greenscape PM, a successful flooring removal company which will continue with his son Logan and wife Brenda at the helm. He met the love of his life, Brenda, in Lake George at Americade in 2011. However, they did not start dating until two years later. A fact of which he would remind her often. Once, when she gave him a valentine card that read “I wish I had met you sooner, so I could have loved you longer.“, He replied “Two years!“ They married on June 9, 2018 and celebrated their third anniversary this year. When asked recently how long they had been together Keith replied “not long enough.“ Keith adored his family and accepted his wife’s children into his home and heart as his own children, protecting them and loving them as he did his boys. His boys were everything to him and watching them mature into the wonderful young men they are today was his greatest pride and joy. He instilled in them an incredible work ethic saying things like “Can you work longer?” And “Come on, a couple more hours and this job is done!” He mentored people who work for him by asking “Does your mother clean your room for you?”, when their sweeping wasn’t up to snuff. Keith’s personality, his heart, his generosity, compassion, loyalty, his zest for life, the way he loved people and the way he protected the people he loved was all larger than life. He created his own gravity and you were lucky if you were in it’s pull. Keith passed peacefully surrounded by his family and at the last by his boys on his own terms. He fought as hard as he could as long as he could. Keith is predeceased by his father George H. Orr. He is survived by his devoted wife, Brenda Orr, sons Gavin Orr, Logan Orr, stepchildren Alden Dicruttalo, Aerin (Rosie) Dicruttalo. Also by his mother Anne Orr, His sister Cathy (Jeff) Eldredge, nephews Joshua (Sarah) Eldredge,Brian (Katelyn) Eldredge, cousins, Aunts, and beloved great nieces Harper and Rylee Eldridge and great nephew Luke Eldridge.
