June M. VanNostrand Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

June M. VanNostrand, age 87, a resident of Northville passed away on Tuesday July 26, 2022 at the Mountain Valley Hospice House in Gloversville. She was born on January 7, 1935 in Carthage, NY. The daughter of the late Ivan and Violet Moses Hedden. June was a lifetime area resident and homemaker. June spent over 47 years living with and caring for her beloved son Stephen. The bond that these two shared was endearing. She loved her family, cooking, and made many friends in her bowling league. She enjoyed her annual vacation trip to Daytona Beach Florida where she and Stevie made many lifelong friends from all over the north east and Floyd from Vermont was a household name. June had the best 4th of July cookouts every year, where she always invited family and friends. June made sure all of her flowers were planted each year around her house, and her line of marigolds along her driveway were always remarkable. She always said flowers made a home. She was predeceased by her husband George Jason VanNostrand Sr., whom she married on October 3, 1954 in Deferiet, NY. Survivors include: Seven sons; Tim VanNostrand (Nancy Warner) of Northville, William (Louanne) VanNostrand of Northville, Michael (Judy) VanNostrand of Watertown, George Jr. (Kelly) VanNostrand of Northville, Daniel (Tina) VanNostrand of Northville, Benjamin VanNostrand (Jeri Ruck) of Northville and Stephen VanNostrand of Northville. One daughter; Susan (Joe) Fazio of Mayfield. Twenty four grandchildren, Twelve great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday August 10, 2022 in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Northville at 11 a.m. Arrangements are under the direction and care of the Northville Funeral Home.
