Jonas G. Nourse, 65, of Tange Road, Edinburg, passed away on November 21, 2017, at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born January 26, 1952, in Gloversville, the son of Marion D (Ferguson) and Robert C Nourse. He was a member of the Edinburg Methodist Church. Jonas was employed by the NYS Dept of Transportation, Saratoga County, as Supervisor Bridge Maintenance retiring 2010. Upon his retirement, he worked part time plowing for NYS Dept of Transportation, Fulton County, for 5 years. Jonas enjoyed hunting, camping and spending time with his grandchildren and his dog companion Chad. Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Diane Koniszewski Nourse, daughter Theresa VanNostrand (Marty Baylies), Grandsons Ryan (Anastasia Maltseva), Michael (Jessica Hassan), Todd (Lauren Paulsen), and Daniel, Granddaughter Jaclyn and companion dog Chad; Sisters Alice Ferrara of Johnstown, Kathy (Jack) Williams of Broadalbin, Robin Nourse of Northville, and Lisa (Larry) Ellis of Schenectady and Brother Robert W (Shawn) Nourse of Edinburg. Also surviving are several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his mother Marion D Nourse in 2008. Viewing will be at the Northville Funeral Home, Bridge Street, Northville, Monday, November 27, from 4:00 – 6:00 pm, with a memorial service to follow at 6:00 pm.
