John H. Frasier

December 15, 1941 - January 3, 2016

John H. Frasier, age 74, of Northville, NY passed away January 3, 2016 after battling an infection. John was born December 15, 1941 to Charles and Pernie (Simpson) Frasier of Edinburg. He graduated from Northville Central School in 1960. He attended Hudson Valley Community College before going to work as a draftsman for Link Associates and then as an Estimator & Project Manager for Wade Lupe Corporation, both in Schenectady, NY. When his health allowed, John helped his father-in-law as a Construction Manager at Paul Bradt General Contractors. Known as John “Chromie” Frasier, he was an avid car aficionado and collector. He & his car buddies formed the Wednesday Night Cruisers and met in Vail Mills for their weekly drive to dinner. He enjoyed traveling with his wife and children, and ultimately settled down for the winter months in Madisonville, TN. If he wasn’t in a coffee shop or cruising around in a hot rod, John would be found at home with his sheepdogs. John is survived by the love of his life, his wife Paula, his “older” twin sister Joyce Marcellino of Northville, NY, four children: Kim (Robin) Frasier of Hendersonville, NC; Kyle Frasier of Ormond Beach, FL; Amanda (Neil) Skotarczak and Preston (Alyson) Frasier of Northville, NY, six grandchildren: Kali, Carson, Preston II, Bennett, Lane and Palin, and his three Old English Sheepdogs: Yuri, Lara and Millie. He was predeceased by his parents and in-laws, Paul & Jean Bradt, and his brothers-in-law Peter Bradt & Thomas Marcellino. At John’s request, there will be no services. The family is planning a Celebration of Life car show and cruise-in for the spring. To honor John’s memory and his love of dogs, the family asks for you to consider making a donation to the New England Old English Sheepdog Rescue, Inc., 49 Stonehedge, Lincoln, MA 01773, the James A. Brennan Memorial Humane Society, 437 Nine Mile Tree Rd, Gloversville, NY 12078, or the Regional Animal Shelter, 117 W Fulton St, Gloversville, NY 12078.
