Janet M. Ranck

Glens Falls- Janet M. Ranck, 82, passed away on Thursday, March 17, 2016 at The Pines of Glens Falls. Born on December 30, 1933 in Long Island, NY, she was the daughter of the late Jerome and Mildred (Skinner) Kelly. Janet enjoyed arts and crafts, hiking, camping, golfing, volunteering in the community and garage sales. She was a founding member of the Hamilton County TWIGS organization, a Not for Profit organization that raised funds for medical outreach to local area children. Janet also established Speculator Arts and Crafts Fair, was a hospital volunteer and was a part of several Booster Clubs. In addition to her parents, Janet was predeceased by her husband of 44 years, Donald Ranck Sr., who passed away on February 14, 1996. Janet is survived by her five children, Kevin Ranck Sr. of Queensbury, Gale Ranck of Glens Falls, Diane Napoli of Cape Coral, FL, Donald Ranck Jr. of Saratoga Springs and Nancy Koval of Stillwater; ten grandchildren; seven great- grandchildren; two sons-in-law, Robert Napoli and Steve Koval; two daughters-in-law, Patricia Ranck and Karen Ranck and step sister, Joan Morgan of Missouri. A Memorial Service will be conducted at 12 pm on Saturday, March 26, 2016 at the Northville Funeral Home, 401 Bridge Street, Northville. Family and friends may call from 11 am until the time of the service. Burial will take place in the spring or summer time, at the convenience of the family. Donations may be made in Janet’s memory to the Hamilton County TWIGS, P.O. Box 859, Lake Pleasant, New York 12108. Arrangements are entrusted to the Regan Denny Stafford Funeral Home, 53 Quaker Road, Queensbury, New York.
