Mr. James Schidzick

August 31, 1948 - July 2, 2014

James (Jim) Spencer Schidzick passed peacefully with his family by his side on July 2, 2014. Jim was born on August 31, 1948 in Cooperstown, New York to Milton Schidzick and Juliana Kinne Mayers. He was a 1968 Graduate of Wells Central School and later entered the United States Army (1974-1978) and the United States Navy (Seabees; 1978-1989), from which he retired. He was a skilled carpenter and avid outdoor sportsman who enjoyed Hunting and Fishing. Jim married Carla (Parslow) on June 27, 1970 in Lake Pleasant, New York. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Carla, two daughters Sadie (Matthew) Wilt and Lynn (Jonathan) Lane, of Piseco, and his son, James (Jennifer) Schidzick of Clifton Park; his grandchildren Ashley Schidzick, Elizabeth and Matthew Speece, Morgan and Bentley Lane, and Jordan Schidzick; siblings Ernie (Richard) Wilbur, Brian (Beth) Schidzick, Elaine Wilson, Richard Mayers, and Roberta (Mark) Garrand; and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held on July 11, 2014 at Higgins Bay Cemetary, in Piseco, New York at 10:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Piseco Volunteer Ambulance Corps.
