Jack R. Learch

February 24, 1940 - May 28, 2022

Jack Reese Learch passed away on May 28th, 2022 surrounded by his loving wife and children. He was the oldest son of Lewis G. & Lois “Reese” Learch. He was born in Wilkes Barre, PA in 1940. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn (Colf) Learch for 60 years. Daughter Brenda (Kevin) Johnson of Manchester, Ma and their children Zakery, Jakob, Emily, and great grandson Joey. His daughter, Diana Lozier of Fultonville and her children, Jessica, Hailey, Alex and great grandson, Robbie. Also, his son Kyle Reese Learch of Wilton, NY and his children, Kaden & Olivia. His sister Jane Learch-Wells. He is predeceased by brother Robert Learch and parents. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousin to whom he stayed in contact with his entire life. Locally he graduated from Knox’s Jr. High before graduating from Geneva HS in 1957. He and Carolyn spend the majority of their marriage in the lower Hudson Valley in Washingtonville, NY. They retired to their vacation home on the Great Sacandaga Lake “Northville” in 2002. Jack worked 54 years in the construction industry as an Architectural Hardware Consultant (AHC). Upon retirement he worked part time at Alan & Palmer Hardware in Northville. He was an active member of the Northville United Presbyterian Church where he sang in the choir. His love of talking led to his ability for auctioneering for the church and the Sacandaga Garden Club and was an active member of the Masonic Lodge of Fish House where he was most recently the treasurer. If you ever had the opportunity to meet Jack you would no doubt have a story that would forever connect you to him. Visitations will be on June 4th at the Northville Funeral Home, 401 Bridge St. Northville, NY from 1:00 to 3:00PM. Funeral services will be at Northville United Presbyterian Church on Reed St, June 5th at 2:00PM.
