Glenn R. Crowley
June 25, 1932 - October 25, 2016
Glenn R. Crowley, 84, of Petoff Garden Apartments, Vail Mills, died peacefully on Tuesday, October 25, 2016, at Mountain Valley Hospice in Gloversville with his loving family by his side. The son of the late Ralph and Edith Smith was born on June 25, 1932, in Mechanicville, N.Y. Glenn attended schools in Shenendehowa, Mechanicsville and Round Lake. He served in the U.S. Air Force, stationed at Preque Isle, ME from 1950 to 1954 and was honorably discharged. He was a delivery driver for Crowley's Milk Association, a self-employed union contractor and a machinest, along with other trades. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and wood crafts. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Patricia A. Crowley of Petoff Garden Apartments; four sisters, Constance Krogh of West Sand Lake, Ramona Goldfoot (Dave) of Round Lake, Patricia Hatlee of Greenville, NH and Chiquita Smith Myers of Johnstown; two sons, Glenn W. Crowley (Lois) of Fonda and Fred Crowley (Nelda) of Keene, TX; two daughters, Brenda Pinette (Roger) of Washburn, ME and Glenda M. Gill (Bruce) of Hadley; four stepchildren, Geraldine A. Schreppel (Bob Fleming), Robin A. Kane (Larry) both of Johnstown, Michelle A. Tirado (Cristobal) and Anthony M. Guadagno III both of Amsterdam. He is also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. In addition to his parents, Mr. Crowley was predeceased by his brother, Norman Crowley; his daughter, Theresa Gardiner and a son, Eugene A. Crowley. Mr. Crowley was cremated at Parkview Crematorium in Schenectady. The arrangements are being handled by Gloversville Funeral Service, Inc. 4 Second Ave. Gloversville NY 12078. There will be no calling hours or funeral services; however, the family invites you to attend a memorial service on Friday, October 28th from 1 - 3 p.m. at Petoff Garden Apartments, Bldg 1, Vail Mills.
