Dorothy M. Fancher, age 87 of Mayfield died Monday November 17, 2014 at home with her loving family by her side. She was born in Johnstown, NY on December 20, 1926. The daughter of the late; Glen and Jennie Peck Town. She was employed for many years for MCA in Gloversville. She loved bingo, cards and loved to watch her family especially when her sons were playing their guitars. She loved when family and friends were all together. Dorothy had a large family, 28 grandchildren and 42 great grandchildren. Survivors include her children: Carol A. LaPorte (William), Victoria Frasier (Rick), Victor Edwards Sr., David Durrin Jr. (Regina), Francis Durrin Sr. (Marcia), and Raymond Durrin (Melony). Brothers; Richard and WandaTown, Francis and Jeannette Town and sister in law; Sally Town. She is also survived by her special grandchildren Chelsey and Travis Frasier, Jamie Lynn Kadle, Michelle Kenny and special friends; Bernice Hillman, Lena Boyd, Anita Allen and Betty Tretola, who she has known for over thirty years. She was predeceased by her daughter; Janet Kenny, son Glenn Durrin, two granddaughters; Royleen Williams and Eadie Durrin, grandson; Ricky Kadle, brother; Donald Town, and sister Gladys Town. Friends may call on Friday November 21, 2014 from Noon to 2 p.m. at the Gloversville Funeral Service, 4 Second Ave., Gloversville where a funeral will be held at 2 p.m. The family would like to send a special thank you to Mountain Valley Hospice for the care extended to them at their time of need.
