Donna L. Dutcher-Gootz

Donna L. Dutcher-Gootz, age 68, of Edinburg died Wednesday December 2, 2015 at Nathan Littauer Hospital following a long illness. She was born in Gloversville, NY on January 9, 1947. The daughter of the late Adeolph and Ruth Tennant Ostrander. She was a lifetime area resident and worked at the Fulton County Infirmary as a Certified Nursing Assistant for many years. Donna enjoyed life and took pride in her family and her friends. She enjoyed time in Cape Cod and loved to cook anything for anyone. She was a member of the Edinburg Bible Chapel. Besides Donna’s parents, she was predeceased by her first husband Cecil H. Dutcher, Sr. Survivors include her husband Jack Gootz of Edinburg. One son; Cecil H. Dutcher Jr. (Jessie) of Mayfield, Two daughters; Selena Dutcher of Albany and Ruth Rogers of Northville. Two brothers; Bill Ostrander (Deb) of Edinburg and Jeffery Ostrander (DeAnna) of Edinburg. Three sisters; Anna Canfield (Duddy) of Edinburg, Diane Blowers (Donnie) of Edinburg and Shelley DeLong (Gary) of Edinburg. Two grandchildren; Nadeira and Darius Rogers. She is also survived by her lifelong friends Sandy Filkins and Flo Mark as well as several nieces and nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews. Friends may call on Monday, December 7, 2015 from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Northville Funeral Home where a funeral service will be held at 12:30 p.m. Burial will follow in Robinson Cemetery, Edinburg.
