Donald L. Rubsha
March 22, 1936 - February 27, 2017
Donald L. Rubsha, age 80, a resident of Northville passed on Monday February 27, 2017 at the Albany Medical Center in Albany. He was born in Johnstown, NY on March 22, 1936. The son of the late; Louis J. and Eva Rubsha. He was a graduate of Rhinebeck High School class of 1954 and then went to work at IBM immediately following high school. He enlisted in the United States Marine Corps shortly after starting at IBM and following his honorable discharge returned to IBM. In September of 1971 Don left IBM to go into business with his cousins and opened the Sportsman’s Lounge in Mayfield retiring after the sale of the business in the late 80’s. After building his current home, he opened D&D Tool works in Northville, which he ran until his passing. He was a member of the Marine Corps League, and the Elks Lodge in Red Hook. Survivors include his wife Christine Tobin Rubsha of Northville whom he married on August 14, 1993. Step-daughter; Emily and her husband Jason Tota of West Palm Beach, Florida. Two grandchildren; Savannah and Hunter Tota. Sister; Donna Mahoney of Rhinebeck. Several nieces, nephews, cousins and so many dear friends also survive him. Family and friends are invited to visitation on Saturday March 4, 2017 at the Northville Funeral Home, 401 Bridge Street, Northville from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family in Evergreen Cemetery, Fonda.
