Clinton L. "Lasher" Booth

November 19, 1933 - May 24, 2017

Clinton “Lasher” Booth, 83, of Mayfield passed away peacefully on May 24, 2017 at Mountain Valley Hospice in Gloversville. Born in Mayfield, NY on November 19, 1933, the son of the late Clinton Eddy and Evelyn Ada Montayne Booth. A life time resident of the area and graduate of Mayfield High School, Class of 1952. He worked for General Electric, Coleco and Fulton County Department of Weights and Measures as Director. He enjoyed fishing, gardening and cutting wood. Lasher is survived by his loving wife, Jean Groff Booth; children, Kelly (Ernie) Fancher of Gloversville, Melanie (Eric) Loveless of Rotterdam, Sean (Tim) Boothstod of Conway, SC; step children, Paul (Ann) Rockwell of Milford, CT, David (Jeny) Rockwell of Edinburg, Karen (Andy) West of Edinburg, Debbie (Bruce) Ellsworth of Northville; 16 Grandchildren, 7 Great Grandchildren; sisters, Patricia Long of Johnstown, Caroline Robinson of Mayfield and Linda Newton of Broadalbin. He is also survived several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a son, Aaron Craig Booth and a brother Donald Booth. Family and friends are invited to a graveside service of remembrance that will be held, Saturday, June 3, 2017 at 2pm at the Edinburg Cemetery. Rev. Kathy Reese will officiate. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to James A. Brennan Humane Society or to Mountain Valley Hospice. Arrangements are under the care of Northville Funeral Home.
