Charlotte Ann Steurer

Charlotte Ann Steurer, 79 of Main St. Wells, NY died Thursday April 28, 2005 at home. She was born in Flint, Michigan on July 22, 1925. The daughter of Ruth and Charles Knowles. She attended Flint Public Schools and graduated from Hurley Hospital School of Nursing in Flint in 1947. She married John Roy Steurer of Tarrytown, NY in 1948. She was employed as a Registered Nurse for nearly twenty years at Phelps Memorial Hospital in North Tarrytown, NY. Charlotte was a member of the Wells United Methodist Church, the senior citizenãs club, the Wells Garden Club and a volunteer for the Wells Public Library. Survivors include her husband John Roy Steurer of Wells, son; Mark Clemons and his wife Margaret Steurer of Victor, NY. Daughter; Ruth Ann Steurer and her companion Richard Phelan of Nyack, NY. Four grandchildren; Mrs. Thomas Kingston (Kristine) of Baldwin Maryland, Mrs. James OãMalley (Julie) of Pasadena, Maryland. Michael C. Steurer attending Keene State University in Keene, NH and Caroline H. Steurer attending Nazareth College in Rochester, NY. Five great grand daughters; Cameron, Kathryn Grace, Abigail, Ella and Lily.A memorial service will be held at a later date at the Wells United Methodist Church.
