Bruce E. Ginter
February 3, 1946 - April 28, 2021
Bruce E Ginter, 75 years old of Edinburg, passed away peacefully at his home on April 28, 2021, after a long illness. Born to Elwin F. Ginter and Helen Hopkins Ginter on February 3, 1946, in Gloversville. He was a lifetime resident of the Town of Edinburg. Bruce started and ran many successful businesses. Starting with his excavation business in 1971; then added logging, building houses, and eventually bought and ran The Old Trail Inn (Edinburg) for a number of years. His last couple of adventures was a wood pellet stove shop and a saw mill. A very motivated, high energy guy who loved his work, his family and socializing at the local bar. He was a volunteer EMT for Edinburg Emergency Squad as well as a fireman and eventually fire chief for Edinburg Vol. Fire Dept. He loved family gatherings, parties, and in the end he still enjoyed Sunday dinners. His hobbies were snowmobiling in Tug Hill and was an avid deer hunter with the boys. He was predeceased by his parents, his brother Kenny, and his father-in-law, Elmer. He is survived by his wife Tonya. Three daughters, Tiffany (Kelly) Frasier of Edinburg, Tammara France (Chris) of Scotia, and Tracy Ginter of Edinburg. Six grandsons, Kelby Frasier (Heather), Kamrin Frasier (Megan), Jonathan Briggs, Brodie France (Sam), Jarrod France, and Todd Briggs. One “favorite” granddaughter, Marleigh Frasier (Timmy). Four great grandchildren, Natalie, Olen, Kayleigh and Cabella. He also leaves two sisters, Jane Valik (Bob) of The Villages FL and Marcia (Dean) Shepard of Northville NY. Also his very special mother-in-law Betty Kenyon, brother-in-law Jim (Krista) Kenyon of Challis ID. His Aunt Marian and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Calling hours will be held on Monday, May 3rd from 5pm to 7pm at the Northville Funeral Service. On Tuesday, May 4th, at 12pm a graveside service and burial will be held in the Edinburg Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Edinburg Emergency Squad or the Edinburg Vol. Fire Dept. Condolences may be made to the family online at www.northvillefuneralservice.com.
