Brian K. Martin

February 15, 1963 - April 5, 2020

Brian K. Martin, age 57, of Gloversville, passed away on Sunday, April 5th, 2020 at Albany Medical Center with family by his side. He was born on February 15th, 1963 in Lemay, MO, the son of Edward Martin and the late Pamela (Savage). Brian graduate from Mayfield High School in 1981. He worked for Universal for many years, followed by Target Distribution Center. Brian was a loving and supportive husband, as well as a cheerful and devoted father. He was kind and generous to everyone he met, always offering a helping hand and a smile. Brian was talented at building and creating anything he set his mind to; ever the craftsman, measuring twice, cutting once. He liked working on projects at home, sometimes out of necessity and other times just to make the space more cozy. An avid sports fan, he liked teams both big and small. He found great pleasure in supporting people, and he did this by attending games and watching them from home with his family. A few of the teams Brian supported include: the Buffalo Bills, the Mayfield Panthers, the New York Knicks, the New York Mets, the Siena Saints, and the Syracuse Orangemen. Brian is survived by his wife Lore (Abel), his three children, Kayleigh, Christopher, Ashleigh; two brothers Jeffrey Martin (Karen), Robert Martin, and two sisters Tammy Martin (John) and Penny Whitman (John). A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date. Contributions in Brian’s memory may be made to Albany Medical Center Neuroscience Huntington’s Disease Research Fund, 43 New Scotland Ave., Albany, NY 12208 Arrangements have been entrusted to Northville Funeral Service, Inc., 401 Bridge St., Northville, NY 12134.
