History & Staff

We have years of experience caring for families, from all walks of life. Each family comes to us because they know we are leaders in our profession, dedicated to excellence in service, and have the highest integrity.

Our History

The Northville Funeral Service Inc. was founded in 1980 when the Claude A. Lipe Funeral Home and the Yates and Cline Funeral Home joined each other at the current location on 401 Bridge Street in Northville.

We are a family owned and operated funeral home with William H. Mackey Jr. and his son Brian C. Mackey, handling every aspect of the business. We are proud to serve the families in Northville, Edinburg, Broadalbin, Gloversville, Mayfield, Wells, Speculator, Lake Pleasant and Piseco with care, dignity and trust.

Gloversville Funeral Service located on the corner of Second Ave. and Main Street in Gloversville.  This is our second location that was opened in 2009.  This building was the site of the former Hollenbeck Funeral Home for many years.  We renovated the inside of the building and renamed it Gloversville Funeral Service (GFS).

This is a great opportunity to better serve the families in the City of Gloversville and surrounding areas, including Johnstown and Mayfeild.  With many changes in the economy and a ever changing belief in funerals we are very happy to be able to offer excellent service, very competitive pricing and a family owned philosophy that many others are unable or unwilling to do.

We pride ourselves on PERSONALLY taking care of every family that we serve.

Thank you for taking your time to learn more about us.
