Life Legacy


Sybil Townsend Kline (Greenwood) died Wednesday, December 16, 2009 with her husband Jack at her side.  She was born on October 20, 1938 and was raised in Altamont, New York.  She is the daughter of Charles L.P. and Sybil K.K. Townsend.


 


Sybil was a graduate of Albany Girls Academy in 1956.  She married Donald A. Greenwood and resided in Voorheesville, New York where she raised her four children.  She loved the Arts, nature and spent her most recent years with her loving husband on Charlie Lake in Wells, New York.


 


Sybil was predeceased by her parents and first husband, Donald.


 


Survivors include:  her husband Jack Kline, two brothers, Charles (Patricia) Townsend and John (Rhonda) Townsend and one sister, Elizabeth (William) Dearstyne.  Her children Gail G. (Chris) Gabriels; Marie E. (Eric) Knochenhauer; James K. (Diane - her favorite daughter-in-law) Greenwood; and Jane O. (Tim) Barry, and her grandchildren; James, Samuel, Hope, Rachel, Sophie, Casey, Josh and Olivia along with two nieces and two nephews.

Friends may call on Friday January 8, 2009 at the Northville Funeral Home, 401 Bridge Street, Northville from 6 to 8 p.m. where a memorial service will be held at 8 p.m.  A memorial mass will be celebrated on Saturday January 9, 2009 at St. Lucy’s Church, 109 Grand Street, Altamont, NY at 10 a.m.  Burial will be held at the convenience of the family in Saratoga National Cemetery.  Condolences may be made to the family online at www.northvillefuneralservice.com.
