Life Legacy


Helen B Craig departed for her heavenly home on October 28, 2009 from the Wilkinson Residential Healthcare Facility in Amsterdam, NY where she has been a patient for the past six years. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Archie "Pete" Craig in June 2003.


Helen was born on October 9, 1921 in Gloversville, NY to her late parents, Raymond and Etta (Berry) Buyce of Northville, NY. She graduated from Northville Central School in 1938 and from the Nathan Littauer Hospital School of Nursing in 1942.


She is survived by her four daughters and their families: Mary and Rick Hayes of Northville, NY, Marjorie and Joe Knight of Denton, TX, Peggy Babcock of Cincinnati, OH, and Sally and Tim Breed of Coraopolis, PA, and six grandchildren, nine great- grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Gerald R Buyce and his wife Paula of Northville, NY, and several nieces and nephews.


Residing in Penfield, NY for many years Helen and her husband Pete enjoyed their growing family. She was a devoted wife and mother. Helen was actively involved in her church and served her Lord in many ways. Their retirement years were spent in Orange City, FL.


 


Friends may call at the Northville Baptist Church on Saturday, October 31 from 1 to 2 p.m., where a funeral service will be held at 2 p.m.  Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Northville Funeral Service.
