Life Legacy

Bertenia Rose Sweet, 90 of Mountain Road, Mayfield, died Saturday November 28, 2009 at the Fulton County Residential Health Care Facility following a long illness.  She was born on August 16, 1919 in Vails Mills, NY.  The daughter of the late; Arthur and Lena Sweet Tomlinson. 

She was a lifetime area resident and worked as a glove worker for many years. 

Survivors include her four children; Leroy (Linda) Sweet of Northville, Gary Sweet of Mayfield, Errol (Barbara) Sweet of Gloversville and Clifford (Ruth) Sweet of Mayfield.  One sister; Theda Ashley of Gloversville.  Sixteen grandchildren; several great grandchildren, one great great grandchild and several nieces and nephews also survive her. 

Friends may call on Monday November 30, 2009 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Northville Funeral Home where a funeral service will be held on Tuesday December 1, 2009 at 11 a.m.  Burial will be in King Cemetery, Town of Northampton.  Condolences may be made to the family online at www.northvillefuneralservice.com.
