November 22, 1915 - June 29, 2010

Beatrice E. Wade, 94, of Rome N.Y., died June 29, 2010, at Nathan Littauer Hospital in Gloversville following a short illness. She was born in Steuben County on November 22, 1915, the daughter of the late Harry and Edith Lawton. She was a graduate of Holland Patent High School and was a homemaker.

She was a member of the First Methodist Church in Rome and New London, N.Y. She was a member of the Golden Years, and a past Noble Grand of the Queen Ester Rebecca Lodge.

Her husband Allen "Buster" Wade, whom she married August 24, 1940, died in 1970.

Survivors include: her son, Allen (Valerie) Wade of Gloversville; three daughters, Arlene (Clifford) Hotaling of Rochester, Patricia Boyson Murphy of Northville and Christine (Ron) Szakacs of Rochester. Several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, several nieces and nephews also survive her. She was predeceased by her brother, Clifford Lawton; and her sister, Marion Jones.

The family would like to thank the nursing staff and aides at Nathan Littauer Hospital.

A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice, 108 Steele Ave., Gloversville, NY 12078.
