Biography
James W. Van Every, 71 of State Hwy. 30, Gloversville died Wednesday June 16, 2010 at home following a long illness. He was born in Gloversville, NY on December 3, 1938. The son of the late; Charles and Blanche Lawton Van Every.
Jim was the owner and operator of Jim’s Body Shop and Auto Sales for many years.
Survivors include his wife; Idamay Dingman Van Every of Gloversville. Two sons; Carl (Brenda) Van Every of Mayfield and Raymond (Maria) Van Every of Fort Edward. One sister; Judy Johnson of Gloversville. Two brothers; Pearl (Mel) Van Every of Edinburg and John (Donna) Van Every of Northville.
He is also survived by his favorite mother-in-law; Ida Brownell of Gloversville, his two grandsons; Jake (Beth) Van Every and Zachary Van Every, two granddaughters; Heather Van Every and Cassandra Van Every, one great-granddaughter; Elyssa Van Every, one brother-in-law; Kenneth Williams of Gloversville and one sister-in-law; Esther Blowers of Gloversville.
Friends may call on Sunday June 20, 2010 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Northville Funeral Home where a funeral service will be held on Monday June 21, 2010 at 11 a.m. with Rev. R.W. Williams officiating. Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Northville. Memorial contributions may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice, 108 Steele Ave., Gloversville NY 12078.
