Emma Jean Johnson, 87 went to be with her lord on May 14, 2010. She was the daughter of Leonard and Emma Murphy, born and raised in Northville, NY.
She was predeceased by her husband Rev. W. Carter Johnson, her daughter; Carole Johnson, and also by her three brothers; Orville, Donald and Enos.
Survivors include her son; Donald Johnson, his wife Cindy and their daughter Rebecca Sue of Tarrytown, NY and a brother; Leonard of Biloxi, MI.
Mrs. Johnson and her husband spent their lives in the service of the Lord, pastoring several churches in New England and New York. Since her husbands death in 1991, Mrs. Johnson has continued to be active in her church, The Baptist Church of Northville when her health permitted.
Friends may call on Monday May 17, 2010 from 1 to 2 p.m. at the Baptist Church of Northville where a funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Burial will be held in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Northville. Memorial contributions may be made to the Essex Alliance Church, 37 Old Stage Rd, Essex Junction, VT 05452 or Mountain Valley Hospice, 108 Steele Ave., Gloversville NY 12078.
