Biography

Elsie M. Barber, 83 of Northville died Tuesday April 20, 2010 at home. She was born on September 29, 1926 in Somers, NY. The daughter of the late; Ralph and Emma Luken Wildey. She was a graduate of Greenwich Central High School.

She was a homemaker, an avid gardener; she loved working with flowers especially her pride raspberry and blueberry bushes.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Northville where she was a member of the Methodist Women’s group. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society.

She was married on December 18, 1949 to Fayette “Red” Barber who predeceased her on December 16, 2002.

Survivors include her two sons; Darrell (Peggy) Barber of Tupper Lake and Corey (Marion) Barber of Mayfield. One sister; Norma (James) Dewey of Greenwich. Grandchildren; Drew and Luke Barber of Tupper Lake and Ryne and Selena Barber of Mayfield.

A graveside service will be held at the Saratoga National Cemetery on Friday April 23, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. Family and Friends are also invited to a reception to be held at the First United Methodist Church of Northville at 12:30 p.m. on Friday.
