Life Legacy
Evelyn Lillian Wozniak passed away on Friday, March 26, 2010, at the Baptist Health Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Scotia, New York.
She was born in Colonie on November 25, 1915, the eldest daughter of John and Sophia Vageline.
She married Frank S. Wozniak on May 24, 1940, in Schenectady. He predeceased her on December 25, 2007. She is survived by: her sister, Dorothy Wolf of Schenectady; sons, Wayne F. Wozniak and his wife, Kathleen of Edinburg, Keith L. Wozniak and his wife, Mary of Greenfield Center; and a granddaughter, Jessica A. Wozniak of Glastonbury, Conn. She also is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Evelyn was educated in Schenectady schools and graduated from the former Draper High School. Evelyn was a dedicated homemaker, wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She was an active member of the Edinburg Methodist Church and enjoyed her last years living at home in Edinburg on the Great Sacandaga Lake.
Graveside service and burial will be in the spring at the convenience of the family.
